From all the BS we keep hearing out of his mouth lately, it seems that Kanye West is continually grappling with his position in society and trying to make the maximum pop culture impact in his time on Earth. Even though he’s obviously frustrated that a select few in the upper echelons of fashion and society aren’t acknowledging his impact on today’s society, he might take comfort in knowing that some people do.

In fact, some people are willing to fill an entire textbook full of how relevant and influential they think he is. Edited by Julius Bailey, a professor at Wittenberg University Ohio, The Cultural Impact of Kanye West is set for release on March 6, and features comprehensive readings of Kanye’s works and cultural impact.

From the book’s Amazon description:

“Looking at the moral and social implications of West’s words, images, and music in the broader context of Western civilisation’s preconceived ideas, the contributors consider how West both challenges religious and moral norms and propagates them.”

Surely Kanye can’t be mad at that. At least, if he is, we won’t need to hear about it for a while, due to his self-imposed rant embargo. And if not, I look forward to a West x Bailey collab of some sort in the future.
