The ‘Race That Stops the Nation’ took place yesterday. I’m a big fan of day drinking (just ask my liver) but the races have never really been my bag. I have a mild fear of fascinators and dudes in cheap suits and wrap around sunglasses. That said yesterday did look quite lovely, Melbourne’s weather actually held up and it was a beautiful 24 degrees, which is just as well given Kate Upton is there and seems to be allergic to wearing outerwear, even when in Antarctica.

Is it just me, or is Upton almost unrecognizable clothed? I guess she is a swimsuit model. Seeing her in clothes is kinda novel. I think she looks kinda cute in a Joan from Mad Men kinda way. She really has the modern day Marilyn Monroe thing down and she does good things to a shift dress. And while pretty demure by Sports Illustrated standards, her signature cleavage was on show, seemingly much to the delight of Buddy Franklin, who was another guest of Emirates. “The pair chatted, smiled and laughed for the cameras with lots of eyes on them.” Hmm.. I’m leaving that one alone. I doubt his girlfriend will though.
