Watching Kilian Martin’s alternative skating style conjures up the same feeling when I was blown away watching street pioneers Ray Barbee, Rodney Mullen and Mark Gonzales for the first time. Kilian skates to the beat of his own drum, and Brett Novak has beautifully captured his quirky bag of tricks during their shoot at an abandoned water park. In the age of Street League and The Berrics which breed beasts like Nyjah Huston, it’s good to see guys like Kilian Martin getting some spotlight too.
