Never has being cool on the Internet mattered more. American Airlines teamed up with Klout, a social media site that measures your Internet influence in numbers, to offer power users access to the airline’s 37 VIP Admiral Club lounges in 22 cities. Klout users whose scores exceed 55 are being offered one-day passes by linking their accounts at aa.com/klout, and they don’t even need to be flying with American Airlines. So while you’re making your next trip to L.A., enjoy a manhattan in a comfy chair for us while we Tweet engaging things all week to try and get our Klout scores out of the 40s, which is apparently where most Klout users live. The good thing about being lame is anyone with a Klout score less than 55 is welcome to enter a drawing for year-long access to the Admiral Club, and that’s way better than one day. So take that, cool people.
