With the imminent release of Max Payne 3 next month Rockstar Games have given us a chance to revisit the original bullet time shooter based in the gritty noir world inhabited by Max Payne, or in my case a chance to play if for the first time. It’s been over a decade since the original so don’t expect eye popping graphics however you won’t be disappointed either as the game has been given a nice fresh coat of paint in the form of retina capable textures. The controls certainly take a bit of getting used to and do highlight the limitations of touch screen devices for these sorts of titles as I for one don’t know how they could of done them any different. Still at $2.99 it’s hard to whinge really. May Payne is available now via iTunes.
