Monica Damn Lewinsky. What a pop cultural figure that woman is. Well, the party ain’t over for the world’s most infamous intern, as Vanity Fair just gave her another 15 minutes via their new interview, entitled ‘Shame and Survival’, in the latest issue, in which she chronicles what’s been going on in her life since the ‘incident’ (Spoiler alert: not much. Career-wise at least. Imagine seeing that name come up in the ol’ pile of resumes) but also calls out Beyonce on that line from the racy track ‘Partition’, from her eponymous album last year that goes…
“Oh he so horny, yeah he want to fuck,” sings Beyoncé. “He popped all my buttons, and he ripped my blouse/He Monica Lewinsky-ed all on my gown.”

Well, according to ML, that just makes no damn sense….
“Thanks, Beyoncé. But if we’re verbing, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton’d all on my gown,’ not ‘Monica Lewinsky’d.’”

She’s got a point. But why is she taking interviews again? Well, she is now, 40 (!!) and has decided she’s ‘reclaiming her life’.

“I am determined to have a different ending to my story. I’ve decided, finally, to stick my head above the parapet so that I can take back my narrative and give a purpose to my past. What this will cost me, I will soon find out.”

Fair enough. I mean she was only 22 years old at the time. We all make mistakes when we’re young Of course the kind of mistakes I made at 22 were more along the lines of “spending New Years Eve in Yamba that one year” rather than “blowing my boss, a married man and THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES”) but hey.

But I have a conspiracy theory that a spin doctor is pushing ol’ Monica to the front page again because Hillary might just be stepping up to the US presidential race. Can you imagine the Republican TVCs the US is gonna be inundated with this year? They will DELIGHT in the resurgence of interest in this scandal. Time to grow some super thick skin Hillary ‘cause this is gonna be a circus. Stay tuned!
