The latest technology in music content sourcing and sharing programs, Purifier, has arrived to take all the effort out of sourcing new music. Promising to “solve the problems of the disconnected online music world,” (aside from the obligatory stalk of what your friends are listening to a la Spotify), this new program works by providing users with up-to-date info and releases from artists and sources they follow as well as sussing out what you like and suggesting content based on that.

Let’s be honest, I’m all about minimal output with maximum return, but when did the online music world get “disconnected”? When did anything online get disconnected? This is a lofty claim, are you sure you know your medium, Purifer? I’m sceptical.

A cool thing is that, according to creator, Matt Gudinski, the app is going to take charge of the internet and make their own tags for content. This means slack ass musicians who are too busy being alt/taking pills/getting arrested to figure out the internet will have their stuff more easily accessed.

iPhone users (lol everyone) get a free taste of the app when it is released on October 24.
