Japanese creative lab PARTY have taken 3D scanning and printing to a new level with the reveal of the world’s first 3D photo studio, where you can walk away with a tiny 3D replica of yourself.

‘Omote 3D Shashin Kan’ is a 3D photo studio in Tokyo that uses a high tech scanner, which takes 15 minutes to capture your every detail. The miniature figurines can range from 10 to 20 centimetres tall and start at around $260.

It’s a great idea if you happen to be in the Tokyo area and want a family portrait like no other…or an entire miniature army of your clones. Hiroshi Fujiwara aka ‘godfather of Harajuku culture’ has already given it a go and the results, above, are creepily detailed. Check out the video to see how all the magic happens.
