John from Kinfolk sent me a link to this new online out of Tokyo called JAGR, it’s taken me over a week to take a proper look at it but now I have, I like what I see! It’s nice to see a mag out of a specific place that doesn’t fall into the clichés or preconceptions that one might expect. Yes it’s from Japan, and you feel that but it also has very much an international feel and scope in its content. Covering content including artists (Kaneko Ei), photographers (Keiichi Nitta), fashion (Issey Miyake), mixtapes (download John from Kinfolk aka Dirk Bite’s disco mix here) and lots and lots of sexy girls (Shaula Vogue), each piece seems purposeful and precise.
