Skateboarding Australia stepped in to organise the Fair Go Ballina skate comp this year, which was held at Missingham skate park in the seaside town of Ballina in New South Wales. The jam-packed day saw chicks skating barefoot, handstands and prawn prizes. Seriously.

The Fair Go event presents just that, a fair go, for skateboarding enthusiasts in the Northern NSW/Southern Queensland region. Everyone, from nine-year-old newbies to international and sponsored skaters, turned out for this year’s event participating in the various categories, jam sessions and workshops.
