Only in Australia. It’s been reported that a flight from Mildura to Melbourne had to be cancelled earlier today because it hit a kangaroo as it was taking off. The Regional Express was headed for take-off in the 6.30am darkness when the wayward ‘roo bounded into its path.

Regional Express spokesperson Alicia Chapple told AAP the incident had damaged the right-hand propeller of the plane and the aircraft would be grounded until it was fully assessed. Unusually, nobody could confirm the fate of the kangaroo, except that it appeared “not good”. *SAD FACE*
