Rolling Stones’ 50th Anniversary Whisky

Japanese liquor brand honours The Stones with limited edition booze

The latest in a long and random list of 50th anniversary collaborations with grandfathers of rock, The Rolling Stones, comes Japanese liquor brand Suntory. They’ve released a super exclusive run of 150 bottles of their blended whisky to commemorate the miraculous feat of 50 years of Rolling Stones touring.

The whisky is apparently blended specifically from six malts, some dating back to the band’s formation in 1962, which will probably mean squat if you’re no whisky connoisseur. The pack looks pretty fancy though, featuring a crystal bottle in the shape of the band’s iconic logo, diamond-shaped stopper and similarly slick display box.

And after 50 years of touring, despite the already excessive boozing (among other things), we’re sure Sir Mick and crew still deserve a stiff drink.
