Mobile phone use has been making downward-gazing zombies of us for years, and now the selfie epidemic has made just not bumping into shit (like 19th Century works of art) a seemingly difficult task.

An unidentified student visiting a museum in Italy climbed into the lap of a statue of The Drunken Satyr intending to snap a #selfie with their new hybrid-creature pal. Something went awry and the satyr’s leg snapped off security catching the whole incident on tape. No word on whether a suspect has been caught yet, though luckily the statue was just a replica of an older, more valuable statue. And hey, it was drunk. Not its fault!

No word either on the result of the selfie, but it better be a good one or we’d all be #shattered. Check out the damage above.
