It’s OC meets GG in matrimonial bliss: Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf are getting married. Gossip mags will be going into overdrive today, as teen TV favourites Adam Brody and Leighton Meester are set to tie the knot.

Fans of trash television out there may be having a meltdown. The relationship crosses TV shows, and teen generations – The OC ran from 2003–2007, and Gossip Girl from 2007 –2012. It’s confusing. What does it all mean!?

If we’re thinking along character lines here, Chuck Bass will do something conniving and probably involving bodyguards and a helicopter. Serena will try to make a move on Seth before it’s too late but fail miserably. Marissa would be there to console her with a vodka-filled hip flask at the ready, if only she didn’t die that time. And Ryan will probably rock up in a borrowed tux and try to punch someone. It’s all too much.

And, just so you know it’s legit, it’s Gossip Girl–confirmed:
