Star Wars: Episode VII producers have been playing with the hearts of their die-hard fans amidst all the talk that the film won’t make its original release date deadline for summer 2015. The news has been circulating the web for a number of months, but the most recent development has made these fears seem a little too real.

The recent happenings revolve around scriptwriter Michael Andt leaving the project, with director J.J. Abrams stepping in to fill the place alongside The Empire Strikes Back screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan.

This chopping and changing has raised alarms regarding the release date, as many sources have come out to say the script is nowhere near ready. Despite this, an enormous amount of pressure remains on the team to have it ready for the prime release slot in the summer months.

Whether this is just a normal proceeding for a big budget film, or something to be stressing about, sorry to the hoards of Star Wars fiends out there, but only time will tell.
