At time of publishing, my Facebook friends list stands at a modest 517. The number of people I regularly see IRL could probably be counted on my two hands. A little depressing, right? Well cheer up, virtual pal, there is a solution! Graphic designer and fan of physical interaction, Pat C. Klein, has developed an ‘old-fashioned’ boardgame to help bring your timeline to life.

Facebook: The Board Game was developed by the designer in response to the negative effects the digital age can have on our interpersonal skills i.e. isolation, depression and insecurity. The game includes many of the features we know and love (or hate) about the social media platform, including embarrassing that guy who leaves his computer unattended or changing your relationship status…for the millionth time. Currently in the conceptual stage, Klein is still looking for the financial backing to get the project off the ground and you can check out his website for more details.

Personally, I’d like to play with all the people who are hidden from my timeline. Maybe if they heard some of their lame statuses said out loud, they’d finally quit it.
