How many times have you whipped out your smartphone to document the food you’re eating, that graffiti on the wall, that weirdo walking in front of you? Admit it, we’ve all done it (I am guilty as charged). Sure, you love the immediacy with which you can share this moment with your wider circle but we can’t deny it can also be rude as shit.

Hong Kong artist Eric Siu has come up with a solution. Well, kind of. His prototype ‘human camera’ Touchy, is touch-driven camera worn on the head and only takes photos when the wearer is touched by someone else. The intention here is to remind us of the importance of actual human interaction alongside our dependence on technology.

Don’t get too excited though, this baby is just part of Siu’s social experiment and won’t be for general sale any time soon. You can check out Touchy in action in the video above or head over to Siu’s website to learn more about this project.
