If you have 25 minutes to spare today, check out this amazing pilot filmed back in ’84 for Graffiti Rock, a “hip-hop variety show” that never got off the ground. Which is a shame BECAUSE IT’S AWESOME. It pretty much consists of a lot of 1980s breaking, fashion, hair-dos, and weird animated titles. Featuring appearances by Run DMC, NYC Breakers, Shannon, Kool Moe Dee and more, it’s so cheesy it’s actually really endearing and such a shame it didn’t see beyond the pilot. Thank fuck for youtube for rescuing these gems.
