Even if you’ve never witnessed Ricky Powell’s antics before, thirty seconds into this ten-minute min-doco it’s obvious that Ricky is a bit wacky. The prolific street photographer is a squirrel-loving, weed-smoking, ‘new jack cornball’-hating, transistor radio devotee, who oozes confidence, old school New York, and a definite streak of crazy. Watch above as filmmaker Will Robson-Scott follows Ricky around the streets of the West Village as he discusses his quirks, his career, and his history with the late Adam Yauch.
