Amy Audas isn't afraid of a little stormy weather
Posted By Luke Thompson | 18-Oct-2012Amy Audas might be super cute and have the figure of a goddess but she’s also a baddass surfer and not afraid of sharks either.
Whilst picking her up for a previous shoot, I noticed a stack of surfboards in the garage. The stack included one that was snapped clean in half, which I asked about. She explained to me that it was hers, and was broken when she wiped out whilst surfing down south.
What kind of waves does this girl surf to be breaking boards in half? Waves that would probably drown me, that’s what kind of waves.
As we chat in the car she goes on to tell me about scuba diving adventures and seeing sharks in the water whilst catching crayfish. Apparently when you catch a crayfish it gets stressed out and makes noises that attract sharks. Amy explains further “So when you see a big shark you just hold the catch bag out at arms length so if the shark wants to take the crayfish it can.”
Because she’s such a badass, I felt slightly less guilty when she was freezing in the stormy weather down at the beach for this photoshoot. I still felt bad, just not as bad.
