Having spent four years documenting sporting fields and courts all over the world, Ward Roberts will be launching his first book, Courts, this week in Melbourne.

Roberts hones his focus on the dense urban landscape. Whether set against a backdrop of Hong Kong’s pastel high-rises and smog-filtered light, London’s manicured garden beds and quaint architectural details, or the concrete and brick palette of Melbourne and New York, Roberts’ photographs prove striking for their linear properties and architectural contexts.

Courts launches at Perimeter Books Micro-Library at Little King Cafe (Shop 2/209 Flinders Lane, Melbourne) on August 23rd from 6pm.
