By now, you’re probably familiar with the trend of people destroying wildly expensive items to gain clicks on YouTube. The common motive, to convert traffic into monetary gain (that somehow amounts to a worthwhile sum once you deduct the price of the broken item) is a little bit sickening and at times kind of borders on a rare strain of fetishism (seriously). Now, Apple’s 18 karat gold, $10,000 timepiece is the trend’s latest victim.

Taras Maksimuk, better known as TechRax, has gained himself a following by recording the planned destruction of luxury items you and I only dream about owning. In his most recent conquest, TechRax rounds up a pair neodymium magnets, the world’s strongest commercially available metal compound, places the high tech gold watch between them, and lets physics take care of the rest. Take a look at the footage above.
