Brett Grolsch was “the ultimate TV artist to the stars.” Just judging by the hubris of that comment alone you can tell he’d been hanging out with Kanye. In a pilot episode for a show that I’m 99 percent sure never came to fruition (maybe because it had Kanye bagging his booking skills) Kanye let slip his life hack for celebrities at airports: use the phone.

He talks about how people “don’t respect the phone thing,” and so, to avoid flipping out on fans, he flips out on the person on the phone.

“This one of my moves though – I’ll be on the phone even when I’m not on the phone, and people have no respect for the phone and stuff, and what I do is I talk to the person – this is how you could get away with not snapping on a fan. What you do is snap on the person that you’re on the phone with. And it lets them know that they interrupting the shit out of you.”

Simply genius. It’s things like these that make him the da Vinci of dodging fans creatively.
