We don’t often use the word lovely to describe something but this video is really lovely. Directed by Jake Sumner for NOWNESS, it very briefly documents artist Brian Donnelly aka KAWS’ famous “Companion” character’s inclusion in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The melancholic vid highlights our love of iconic characters and celebrates KAWS’ achievement and progression from writing on walls to showcasing his works in some of the most prestigious public spaces in the world.
