Weekly updates

I’ll admit most of my hard earned pennies end up going on food, coffee and magazines. Maybe an even split. I’m not complaining though. This week Issue 5 of the New York based magazine, WAX has been released. The bi-annual print publication explores that subtle yet ever-present intersection between art and surf. One of these things I’m certainly more clued in on – take a guess.

The latest issue is titled Immediacy as in I need my hands on it right now. But moreover the issue explores ‘the age of immediacy’ (example, the Internet) in how it affects “how we work, how we surf and how we make an consume art”.

Featuring an interview with digital conceptual artist, Cory Archangel (in conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist), work by photographer Erin O-Keefe, a 24-hour art project with Michael Bell-Smith, Skyler Brickley, Cheryl Yun and a whole lot more.

You might be reading this on a screen but print ain’t dead.
