ACCLAIM magazine’s last issue for 2012 pays homage to a country that is at the vanguard of progressive creative design, art, music and culture. That country is none other than Australia.
As Aussies, sometimes we’re so focused on what’s happening overseas that the amazing talent that’s here in our very own country is often overlooked. Well, not this time. With this issue we are staking our claim as a worldwide bastion of global style and culture and within it we celebrate creative Australians young and old, from across the country in one of our weightiest issue’s to date.
We were honoured to have the iconic Australian painter Ken Done create not one but two different covers for the issue both featuring his artwork painted
onto the Australian model Amy Finlayson. The general release cover (newsagents) is PG-friendly, whereas the boutique cover (Magnation, subscribers and boutiques) features Amy and Ken’s art in all of it’s unbridled glory with a simple and sexy stripped back design which harks back to some of Ken’s iconic graphic work from the '80s.
