Gearing up to close Pitchfork Music Festival this Sunday with his band the Social Experiment, Chance the Rapper dropped by Chicago morning show Windy City LIVE to discuss local matters, not least of all his budding friendship with Kanye West.

The pair have been sending praise back and forth since they met at the end of 2014, Kanye also made a surprise appearance at Chance’s Open Mic event, performing with Vic Mensa for local high school students.

Now, by the sound of things, something bigger is on the cards, “We started working recently and have a lot of cool ideas brewing,” Chance told hosts, going on to explain, “me and Kanye and a lot of Chicago artists and a lot of dope artists are working on a collaborative effort that will be released tentatively.” While there’s no word on what exactly the city-spanning collab will entail, anything involving these two is set to be unmissable.
