UPDATE 18/5/2015 12:42pm – Jay Z has addressed Chinx’ death during the second night of his B-Sides concert. “Young man got killed in Queens, his name was Chinx” he said to the crowd. “…we’re seriously under attack like never before. Rest in peace to Chinx and we’re still killing each other. We need to understand that we are kings and queens.”

Long time Coke Boys affiliate Lionel ‘Chinx’ Pickens was reportedly shot and killed last night after being involved in a drive-by shooting out in Queens, New York. At only 31 years of age, Chinx established a sound following in the hip-hop community. He was known for collaborations with label-buddy French Montana, Bobby Shmurda, and Jadakiss as well as his Cocaine Riot mixtape series.

Following the passing of the NYC rapper, tributes from close friends and those who knew of the rapper have flooded social media sites including an official statement from Coke Boys and his management group 4 Kings.
