It wasn’t a matter of ‘if’ Daft Punk would invite any famous friends to assist with their upcoming Grammy Awards performance, but ‘who’ – even though a live television appearance is a rarity for the French duo, they always opt for quality over quantity. Obviously Pharrell Williams was a no-brainer, as well as ‘Get Lucky’ guest guitarist Nile Rodgers. The latest news, however, is that the incomparable Stevie Wonder will also be joining the robots onstage, come January 26. As always, the Frenchmen and friends will be joined by the Random Access Memories session musicians, in what will surely be a Grammy performance to rule all Grammy performances. Daft Punk are nominated for five awards at this year’s ceremony.
