This is probably the first time and last time that the words ‘Death Grips‘ and ‘commercial’ will be said in the same breath. The raucous rap trio broke up after releasing the Bjork-featuring first half of the The Powers That B LP, saying “we are now at our best and so Death Grips is over. We have officially stopped.”

As a sort of swan song, the boundary-pushing outfit have loaned their track ‘You Might Think He Loves You For You Money But I Know What He Really Loves You For And It’s Your Brand New Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat’ to a new Adidas commercial for their Intersport line of Predator football boots. And, strangely, it’s not as strange as you’d imagine.

Who knows? Jumping on a commercial might be Death Grips at their most punk.
