So Drizzy and Ye have been hinting at the prospect of a collab project for a while now. “We have a few things that we’ve worked on, and it’s always just about finding a place for it,” Drake said back in April. “With [Kanye], you never know: He might call me tonight, and be like, ‘Yo, these two songs that we did are coming out”.
And then this billboard mysteriously popped up in LA. “Calabasas is the new Abu Dhabi” reads the sign, alongside the symbols for Drake’s OVO Sound and Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music record labels. Is it just a coincidence that the billboard has appeared just in time for the 2016 MTV VMA’s? We think not.
So if we’re trusting our intuition, and the rumours are true, how do we feel about the collab? Does it have the potential to be something huge or, rather, a huge overrated piece of work? Naturally, we headed to Twitter. I mean, it is 2016. Check out what you guys have already had to say about the project below. A big debate has ensued; it’s a pretty mixed reaction. Also, keep your eyes peeled on the VMA’s in the coming hours for further hints. Stay tuned fam.
