The young touring/management company Astral People, are focussed on ‘bringing the newest and most innovative artists’ to Australia and they are presenting: Ghostly International signed Mux Mool.

Mux Mool is the peculiar alias of Brian Lindgren, the dude that ‘straight-up steals your favourite chillwave band’s lunch money’ according to Pitchfork. While his style ranges from jagged synths, Dilla-esq beats, and classic video-game music that’s accompanied by vinyl static, he pulls all his sounds together to make, frankly, music that makes you want to dance. “I think beat-making is really the study of every kind of music,” the Brooklyn-based producer says, whose music has been featured in Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim compilations. From his first album, the seminal Skulltaste, to his latest LP Planet High School, which is the sound of nostalgia for school days told through music, he defies all expectations.

As one of the most exciting beat-makers around, Mux Mool is destined to turn heads on his debut tour of Australia, check below for dates and venues:

June 13 – Goodgod Small Club, Sydney
June 14 – Bar Soma, Brisbane
June 15 – Cuckoo Bar, Adelaide
June 16 – Laundry Bar, Melbourne
