Homegrown touring company / mixtape masters Hand Games had their first birthday earlier this year and to celebrate they’ve been working hard on a printed compendium of stories and original contributions from their favourite Australian musicians. The first issue features written and artistic contributions from Nick Allbrook (Pond), Fergus Miller (Bored Nothing), HTML Flowers, Ta-Ku, Mining Boomand  Sarah Mary Chadwick, as well as interviews with Royal Headache, Oliver Tank, Oisima and more. The centre fold is an in-depth map of Perth bands, plotting the interlocked community of brilliant musicians coming out of WA’s beacon city. The zine is designed by Shinya Dalby and edited by Luen Jacobs and Georgia Watson.

Hand Games zine Issue 1 is now available to pre-order online from the Hand Games Music website, it costs just four bucks and the first 100 pre-orders receive an exclusive home-burnt and hand-packaged CD-R of music from Bloodsports which includes a cover of White Town’s Your Woman.

They’ll be throwing us mad parties all around Australia, kicking off in Sydney tomorrow, July 6 at house party in the CBD. Head to their Facebook page for the actual address and details of your nearest Hand Games Zine launch.
