After the sell out success of its run in Sydney, Speech Therapy is coming to Melbourne thanks to Work-Shop and Australian lyricist The Tongue. For the first time, Melburnians will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with some of the country’s best local wordsmiths.

The first lineup will include hip-hop artists Dialectrix, Tom Scott, and Mantra and will be hosted by The Tongue himself who describes the event as “a way for rappers and poets to entertain the audience any way they wish, using only the microphone, their skills and their personalities”. The event is unique as each presenter is given a 25 minute set in which they have the freedom to deliver speeches, decipher lyrics, or share intimate life experiences.
