In case you haven’t heard, MC/producer/hip-hop legend Talib Kweli is kicking off his Australian joint tour with Common this weekend but Melburnian fans get an early treat. Kweli will be performing live tomorrow (Friday May 6) at The Belleville and (wait for it) it’s a free gig. As if you needed any further incentive to head down tomorrow night, the Brooklyn-based rapper will also be supported by a bevy of local heads — Tofu, Melo Felo, Auxone, MzRizk and Eddie Mac. Kweli’s back-catalogue need little explanation, but if you want a chance to hear classics like ‘Get By’, ‘Move Somethin’, and ‘The Blast’ in real life, we strongly suggest you get yourself down to the Belleville tomorrow night.
