Last Thursday night saw media, fans, punters and general Surry Hills lurkers congregated at The Beresford Upstairs to view the launch of of Gold Fields’ Holy No music video. The sold out night was presented by New Balance and Channel V. Guest were greeted with drinks, canapés and an impressive support performance from Elizabeth Rose.

The crowd then watched on as Holy No was played for the very first time. Filmed by NYC’s 13th Witness, the video was shot in Gold Fields’ hometown of Ballarat and featured eery symbolic imagery that fit perfectly with the haunting mood of Holy No. The band then took to the stage and blew everyone away with their high energy performance, which even summoned a torrential downfall some way through the set. One of the highlights was their cover of Underworld’s Born Slippy (a favourite from their shows on tour) which had the crowd transfixed.

Channel V filmed the entire event and will be adding the Holy No video to their rotation, so keep eyes and ears peeled. Pics from the night in the gallery.
