The top level of 383 Bourke St. Surry Hills last night revealed its long-awaited transformation to The Standard Bowl in a full-house industry preview.

The revamp includes four bowling lanes, vintage pinball machines and a brand new stage with Alt-country punks Little Bastard charged with consummating rights.

The multilevel warehouse fitout transported a swelling crowd to a grungy live music hybrid with full length ‘50s inspired murals, neon signage and cans as well as a Big Lebowski-esk cocktail list.

The venue opens to the public tonight kicking off a three-night music bender featuring Wolf & Cub (Thursday), Palms (Friday) and Jenny Broke The Window (Saturday).

Free entry, free live bands, free bowling, always. Surry Hills has a new favourite pastime.
