It’s been five years since J. Cole’s The Warm Up followed lived up to its name and heated up Cole’s career to the point where he was competing with Kanye in album sales. At the time he shot a video for fan favourite ‘Lights Please’ but never released it because he didn’t think it had reached “the level of greatness” that his other hits did. Instead, he stashed it in the vault.

Now because hindsight is always 20/20 he’s released the video so you can see the J. Cole who hasn’t yet been given a Roc chain by Jay Z for his birthday.
