Our good pals over at The Operatives are turning 10 (they grow up so fast!) and to celebrate their double digits they’re throwing a new series of gigs, starting with a killer hidden warehouse party featuring two of the UK’s fastest rising talents.

First up are the rising bedroom producer duo Maribou State. The lads humbly describe themselves as “just two guys that like drinking tea and making music” when in reality they’re drawing comparisons to the Disclosure brothers, though their own sound channels more mellow, chilled out house vibes. Their latest track, the incredibly lush Truths, has sent out ripples of hype from blogs far and wide making it no surprise the boys have been invited on their debut Australian tour. They’re joined by solo producer Swindle, whose unique fusion of jazz, grime and hip hop makes him one of the most captivating names buzzing in the UK right now. Having released his solo LP Long Live The Jazz last year, the South Londoner is backing up the hype with his head-turning live show. Luckily for us, he’s turning his focus on Australia.

Okay – now for the stuff you came here for. Them two double passes. For your chance to win* one of them, shoot an email to comp(at)acclaimmag.com with your name, postal address, phone number and ‘MARIBOU STATE AND SWINDLE’ in the subject line.

The Operatives presents Maribou State and Swindle
