In skittish bitch news, the Iggy Azalea vs Azealia Banks beef has just stepped up a notch. And yes, twitter is their battlefield. Iggy Azalea has been under-fire from fans recently since she unfollowed a bunch of fans on the social media platform whom she deemed weren’t worthy enough to be called ‘Azaleans’, her self-titled fan base. However it has been speculated that the only reason Azalea unfollowed the fans was that they were vocal about attending The Mermaid Ball gig in LA, the event which was headlined by Iggy’s rival (and it appears enemy) Azealia

She tweeted: “Don’t ride the fence! Nobody looks good doing it,” which appeared to be calling out these fans. She then confirmed this suspicion when she later told a fan on Twitter that being a fan of her and Banks was akin to liking Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj who’ve famously exchanged insults multiple times. The tweet has since been deleted (SKITTISH MUCH?) Fans are pissed because they feel she’s basically saying you can’t like both of the rappers.

Banks surprisingly took the high road and only made a vague response to the exchange of words, not mentioning Iggy by name, but tweeting: “I don’t get why some artists think their fans are stupid… Don’t lie to your fans… Just concentrate and finish your work.”

Iggy then replied with, “Never really understood people who stick their nose in everyone’s business. I only worry and talk about things pertaining to my life & happiness.”

Firstly, didn’t Azealia Banks quit twitter? Secondly, this whole thing is retarded. How do female rappers ever hope to build a fanbase for their sub-genre when they are behaving like this. Maybe it’s all a part of the larger publicity plan. I’m writing about it. I’m a part of the problem!
