Looks like TufAmerica have been biding their time to spring this lawsuit on Jay Z. Six years after the release of the track, ‘Run This Town,’ TufAmerica, the label representing the late Eddie Bo, have decided that the rapper used a sample from Bo’s 1969 track ‘Hook and Sling pt 1’ without copyright permission. Seems legit.

According to Rolling Stone, TufAmerica either really know their shit about who’s doing what with which samples or are very overzealous with suing people, because they’ve been firing lawsuits left, right, and centre over this track. Hov joins JT, Kanye West, and LL Cool J as artists who have copped it over the use of the magical sample.
