Kanye West revealed details about his next album when he took part in a public talk with architect Jacques Herzog as part of international art festival, Art Basel, in Miami on Wednesday night.

He spoke about his fine art background and musical influences, before revealing how his next album will compare to Yeezus, and saying that it will have just eight songs.

“I think my next album is going to be eight songs. It’s just reducing down the amount of information that you need. People say a design is the point where you can’t take anything else away. [Yeezus] was very, very designed. I took a departure from radio and popular music in order to get this seat here. If I hadn’t made Yeezus, I wouldn’t be sitting here with this cool font at Basel right here.”

Yeezy told the New York Times back in June, “I’m a minimalist in a rapper’s body.” Looks like he’s serious then.
