With her erotically charged music videos, huge brown eyes, pouty red lips and sultry voice, FKA Twigs has been cutting a distinct figure in the musical landscape, and bringing back styling those pesky baby hairs like it was the ’90s.

In the BBC Radio 1 studio, FKA Twigs and her band have a chat with Zane Lowe about the sacrifices her family made moving to London with no place to stay, so she could start dance school. Only to realise after months of bunking off, that it was the music that was calling.

As softly spoken as you would imagine but just as passionate, FKA Twigs talks about the crump and vogue scene in London, how the gentrification of Southbank has led to Charring Cross being the new creative hub and sings ‘Two Weeks’, ‘Give Up’ and ‘Pendulum’ live.

Listen to the interview and stay tuned for August 12, when LP1 is released.
