Kendrick is shaping up to be somewhat of a collab-whore, (see: Kanye, FlyLo, BJ The Chicago Kid) and I can’t say I’m complaining – because not only are his verses always FIRE, but it’s somewhat refreshing to see someone else with the first initial ‘K’ on my newsfeed (sorry not sorry, Kim and co).

This time round, the Compton rapper links up with Glasses Malone on a track that opens with a sample from late legend Tupac Shakur, “Yes, I am gonna say that I’m a thug. That’s because I came from the gutter and I’m still here.” The smooth beats and Kendrick’s midas touch, along with the seemingly infinite repetition of the words “I’m a motherfuckin’ thug”, are enough to make even the whitest of white girls feel like a (motherfuckin) thug.
