We’re so close to copping Heems’ debut album, it’s palpable. Luckily our anticipation is abated slightly with the release of another single from EAT PRAY THUG. Partnering with the authority on heart-rending sounds, Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange, on ‘Home’ Heems provides us with the soundtrack to all of our funks – specifically if it has something to do with the one that got away (or you walked away from). The whole thing, from the down-tempo drums to almost-oriental guitar riff, to the devastatingly honest story and chilling chorus, reaches into your soul and stabs at that sore spot where you keep your own experiences of heartbreak. It’s kinda hard to believe that this will be featured alongside the previous release ‘Sometimes’ but it’s got me pretty excited about the journey this album is going to take. Listen to ‘Home’ above.

EAT PRAY THUG is set for release on March 10 and can be pre-ordered on iTunes right now.
