Since Jay-Z’s surprise track release, Kanye West couldn’t help but one-up his fellow MC, on the exact same day. In true Yeezy style, the rapper took to Twitter to announce the release of a brand new Pusha T track, ‘Numbers on the Boards’, which premiered on creative director Virgil Abloh’s Tumblr moments after.

In addition to the obligatory Givenchy name drop, Pusha lays down an impressive few minutes of work, but the real star of the show is the dark, syncopated beat, produced by Kanye West, and reminiscent of his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy days with a touch of old RZA. Stating “Our family Hov brought that real hip hop shit this morning so me and Pusha wanna keep that feeling going” via Twitter, I sense Yeezy was feeling a little left out. Take a listen below.
