Run the Jewels have teamed up with Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha on ‘Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)’, coming off their upcoming album Run the Jewels 2. The track is everything you would expect from a collab like this: hardcore backing, bass, flow. You know the drill.

Apparently the collaboration has been in the works for decades, El-P explains, “We worked on music together in the late ’90s after Rage broke up but it never came out. We remained friends, though, and when I was in L.A. working on the record I bumped in to him literally on the way to the studio. He came by and listened to what we had and a day later was recording with us.”

RTJ2 is available for pre-order on their website now, and the album will be released to everyone else via Mass Appeal Records on October 28.
