Theophilus London has been a little quiet of late but he’s back with quite the jam for fans of his somewhat hard to define genre… is it pop? I think it’s pop. We posted on the teaser and now here’s the new track in full… the track is ‘Rio’ and it’s an homage to the Brazilian city, Theo states… “I went to Rio in 2010. The trip gave me so much energy and I met so many amazing people that it inspired me to make a song in Rio’s honor.” And just like the city itself, it’s sexy, tropical and makes you wanna party. It also features the Menahan Street Band, who add a bit of funk and horns to the summery track. Pop it on, crack open a beer and imagine you’re tanning beside a kidney shaped pool at a sweet pool party a la the one in Boogie Nights.
