In a surprising new turn for rapper Vic Mensa, new single “Down On My Luck” has a very distinct Disclosure-like, electronic influence to it and would not be out of place in your local dance club. Still a hot track though, with the Chi-town emcee still dropping lyrics about weed and guns, albeit against a Stefan Ponce-produced beat that will have you posted up on any dance floor. No word yet on what’s next up for Vic, but if this is the beginning, looks like we’re in for some good times. Take a listen below.
