Unhappy with authority? Just another day for Matangi singer M.I.A. She seems to be truly getting on board with the whole ‘New Year, new me’ mantra, announcing that she will be leaving Jay Z’s Roc Nation management company via Twitter.

Not her first conflict with management, with previous dramas surrounding the delayed release of her album and still under-wraps documentary. Though M.I.A. might be cutting out the middleman altogether, following up the announcement with another Tweet, assumedly recruiting PYTs for possibly her own creative team.
